Carioca plays with the American in his season debut
Ingrid Martins, world No. 84, met her debut rivals in the 2025 season at the WTA 250 tournament in Auckland, New Zealand, a hard-court competition with a prize pool of $275,000.
Rio native and American Jessie Aney will face the pair of American Sloane Stephens and Danish Clara Tauson. If they win, they will be able to face the top seed, the American Sofia Kenin and the Belgian Elise Mertens. The favorites are Canadian Rebecca Marino and British Tara Moore.
