A missing teacher is found dead on the banks of the Rio das Antas

The victim, 46, was last seen in the early hours of December 24, when he left his apartment in Caxias do Sul

The body of teacher Daniela Bolson, 46 years old, was found this Saturday morning (28) on the banks of the Rio das Antas, in Campestre da Serra. The information was confirmed by the 5th Military Fire Brigade, responsible for coordinating the searches that lasted four days.

The teacher’s vehicle, a white Fiat Strada Adventure, was previously located, on Wednesday (25), abandoned near the BR-116, close to where the body was found. The circumstances that led to Daniela’s disappearance remain uncertain and are being examined by the Civil Police.

Daniela worked as a teacher at the Escola Municipal Abramo Pezzi, in Caxias do Sul, Serra Gaúcha. She was last seen in the early hours of December 24, when she left her flat. The family, who filed a complaint with the police, reported that the woman had had episodes of depression and had appeared sad in the days before her disappearance.

The search operation mobilized several security forces and specialized teams, including the Civil Police, the Military Brigade and the Fire Brigade. Resources such as drones, sniffer dogs and divers were used in an attempt to locate the teacher.

The Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP) of Caxias do Sul is investigating the case, together with the Civil Police of Campestre da Serra. Furthermore, the General Institute of Expertise (IGP) was called to carry out a detailed analysis of the place, the vehicle and the body, in an attempt to clarify the circumstances of the death.
