Artist evaluates productions on Letterboxd

Charli XCXknown for her album Bratshared his opinions on the biggest films of 2024 on the social network Letterboxd. The artist, who has been exploring the world of acting with new roles, spent Christmas watching different productions and revealed her preferences to her followers.

Among the films evaluated, Challengers, Conclave and Nosferatu they received five stars from Charli. She also praised Anora and commented on the soundtrack of the Bob Dylan biographical film, A Complete Unknownstarring Timothée Chalamet: “he has lots of songs in this!”, published. Charli even joked about calling Martha Stewart a “brat” after watching the documentary Marthafrom Netflix.

On Nosferatuthe singer published: ok, wow, there are so many things I love about this movie. Some favorite things: the scene of the black umbrellas in the rain on the cobblestone street, the way the tears seemed to fall down people’s faces, Lily Rose Depp squirming, pretty much everything Lily did, the hand shadow moving through the city , the name of Willem Dafoe and Isaac Newton being mentioned, the general symmetry every time a door/window opened, the scene of Nick walking down the sidewalk at night, the moment when Aaron TJ vomits blood into the coffin, the sound general breathing during the film, the general acclaim of the costume department and much more. The artist also mentioned favorite classics, including The Addiction (1995), Charlie’s Angels (2000), Céline and Julie Go Boating (1974) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

Film projects

Recently, the singer was confirmed in the cast of The Galleristfilm directed by Cathy Yan (Birds of Prey), where he will work alongside Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Only Murders in the Building), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Zach Galifianakis (If You Drink, Don’t Marry!), Daniel Brühl (Captain America: Civil War) and Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago).

Additionally, Charli will also be part of the cast of SacrificeFrench director’s first English-language film Romain Gavras (The World is Yours), which will feature big names such as Anya Taylor-Joy (Furious), Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) and Ambika Mod (One Day).
