Virgin River: What Happened to Charmaine in the Season 6 Finale? Here are our theories!

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the season 6 finale of Virgin River, available starting December 19 on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it yet, go ahead!

That’s the question on every Virgin River fan’s mind since the final episode of Season 6 was released online: What did Jack (Martin Henderson) see in Charmaine’s baby room?

Although she has to do Mellie’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) hair on her wedding day, Charmaine is not. Concerned about her ex-partner, who was in the process of seeking a restraining order against Calvin, Jack went to her house to check on her.

Once there, he found the door of the house open and showing signs of a struggle. His investigation led him to the twins’ bedroom, where he discovered something that left him speechless.

But what did he see? We’ll have to wait for Virgin River season 7, which has already been ordered by Netflix, to lift the veil on this mystery. While you wait for the answer to this thorny question, discover our theories about what Jack might have seen.

Charmaine is dead

This is clearly a theory that has run through every Virgin River fan: Jackie would have discovered Charmaine’s lifeless body upon opening the door. A plausible hypothesis when we know that the father of her babies is none other than Calvin, one of the great villains of the series.

This unscrupulous man, who had trouble accepting that Charmaine wanted to take her children away from him, could very well attack and kill her in a rage. in the given interview TVInsiderPatrick Sean Smith, Virgin River’s showrunner, advised fans to think about Charmaine.

Unfortunately, this theory doesn’t really fit the essence of Virgin River. If the series has already experienced major character deaths, it has never been violent. So it’s hard to imagine the writers going in that direction.

Charmaine and the babies are missing

Another hypothesis: Charmaine is alive and well and was kidnapped by Calvin along with her babies. Opening the door, Jack finds only a dirty room and realizes that something dramatic has happened to his friend.

It’s really weird that Charmaine missed Mellie and Jack’s wedding, and especially that she just sent a text saying she was on hold. It is likely that it was Calvin who sent this message so that the residents of Virgin River would not think about the barber.

Charmaine is knocked out and only the babies are missing

What if Charmaine was still home and all the babies were missing? That would explain Jack’s startled look when he opened the door. He may have found the lifeless Charmaine that Calvin beat up. The latter allegedly kidnapped the babies.

This is one of the most likely hypotheses. Calvin only cared about his children, he didn’t care about Charmaine’s abduction. So perhaps he would have left her at home for dead before escaping with the twins. Season 7 then revolves around the search for the missing babies.

One thing is clear: children are healthy. The showrunner actually assured in the interview that “That the twins are safe“and”that no child will be harmed during the filming of the series in the future“.

However, we’ll have to wait for Virgin River Season 7, which should arrive sometime in the winter of 2025, to hopefully have an answer to this cliffhanger.
