Of all the cameos in “Thor – Love and Thunder,” the first post-credits scene might be the one you least expect. And that’s normal: the main stakeholder would hide it even from their parents.
Warning – The following article contains spoilers as it discusses the content of the first post-credits scene of “Thor – Love and Thunder”. Please continue if you haven’t seen it yet.
It’s called a divine post-credits scene! In a tale of love and thunder, left for dead after being pierced by a lightning bolt, Zeus (Russell Crowe) is finally alive. But out of shape and angry. As he is approached, he talks to the person behind the camera and laments that people these days worship superheroes more than gods. He then promises Thor Hell and entrusts this mission to his son, Hercules.
A mysterious interlocutor then appears and has the features of Brett Goldstein, a major revelation in the Ted Lasso series. Unlike Charlize Theron in Doctor Strange’s Madness multiverse, which was the subject of several rumors, the presence of the English actress did not surprise many people. Starting with his parents, from whom he hid information until they discovered his cameo in theaters.
“I didn’t tell anyone, not even my family.”– says Brett Goldstein Entertainment WeeklyAfter explaining that he was very surprised to be contacted by Marvel for the role. “They put a chip in you that would explode if you talked about it. It was terrifying. I wrote back, ‘I just saw Thor! This is really good! You must like it. You should go see it.”

“They went and my mom was texting me during the movie. I kept telling her, ‘Don’t text me during the movie!’ But she was like, ‘It’s funny!'” and I was like, “Stop texting me and watch that damn movie!” Especially since he almost missed his son’s appearance on the screen.
“When we get to the end, ten seconds before he goes on stage, he says, ‘Russell Crowe’s back, he’s funny!’ And I’m like, ‘Look at the damn screen!’ , why did you send us to see him”. No doubt he’ll be more considerate if his son returns for Thor’s next adventure…which has yet to be purchased.
When asked about it, Brett Goldstein says he doesn’t know when Hercules will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unless it’s still a secret, which won’t be his only concern now: “My father calls himself Zeus, that’s definitely a problem.”
