The month of December was dedicated to romantic series on the streaming platform. While Netflix has released the 6th season of Virgin River online, TF1 has also chosen to offer its subscribers a previously unpublished fiction in France that should delight fans of the genre: Return to Sullivan’s Crossing. Launching in October 2023 on The CW, the first two seasons are available from December 16 on TF1+.

Adaptation of Robin Carr’s novels

Adapted from a series of novels by Robin Carr, the author behind the Virgin River books, Return to Sullivan’s Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan, a talented neurosurgeon who must leave Boston, where she began her life and career, due to serious legal problems.

Then he decides to return to his homeland. There he tries to get back with Sally, his father, with whom he has a bad relationship. There she also meets Cal Jones, a new recruit, with whom she quickly falls under the spell.

Chad Michael Murray is returning to television

Return to Sullivan’s Crossing marks Chad Michael Murray’s big return to television. If in 2009, after leaving the Scott brothers, the actor who played the role of Lucas Scott took part in the series, before that he never found the main role.

In this series, he lends his features to the mysterious Cal Jones. She had the opportunity to find Scott Patterson, who she already answered in Gilmore Girls. The latter plays the father of Maggie, played by Morgan Cohan, seen in When Hope Calls. Tom Jackson (Outlander), Andrea Menard (Blackstone), Dakota Taylor and Reed Price (The Sinner) round out the cast of the series.

Note that Return to Sullivan’s Crossing has already been renewed for Season 3, which is set to air in the US in 2025.
