“The Rings of Power” Gets New Trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2022; look

The long-awaited Prime Video series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” has just received a new trailer, revealed during San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

The exclusive trailer for the event was revealed during a panel moderated by presenter Stephen Colbert, which was attended by 21 actors from the series, with showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay and executive producer Lindsey Weber.

With around 6,500 fans attending Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the trailer for “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” was shown:

In the trailer, we focus more on the rebirth of evil in Middle-earth, with the introduction of some great villains to be faced by the heroes of the series.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will tell the heroic legends of the Second Age of Middle-earth history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” and will take viewers back to an era where great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell in ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung in thin threads, and one of Tolkien’s greatest villains threatened to cover the whole world in darkness.

The following actors attended the “Rings of Power” panel at San Diego Comic-Con: Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman and Sara Zwangobani.

In addition to the trailer, presented by showrunners Payne & McKay, a series of exclusive previews were shown at the event and composer Bear McCreary performed, with the help of an orchestra of 25 people and 16 singers, some pieces from the series’ unpublished soundtrack.

“The Rings of Power” arrives on Prime Video on September 2, with new episodes available weekly.
