The match started hot. After three minutes Bahia opened the scoring with a short corner kick. Timão remained in the lead and created opportunities to expand. Little by little Porto Velho loosened up and created some opportunities. Leonardo had a clear chance to equalise, in the 36th minute, when he freed his header in the penalty area, but it was blocked by Kauê. In the end the first half ended in a draw.

In the eleventh minute of the second half, Araújo took advantage of another corner kick and played with his heel, covering the rival goalkeeper, to increase the score.

In the 24th minute, after coming on for Luiz Fernando, Juninho received a nice cross in the Caipira area and gave the final result to the match.

Corinthians ends the first round ahead on goal difference over Santo André, who beat Rio Branco-AC 2-1. The next round of the group is scheduled for Tuesday. At 3pm Santo André and Porto Velho-RO play. Soon, at 5pm, Corinthians will take the field against Rio Branco-AC.
