The Brutalistwinner of three awards and nominated for nine categories in Golden Globes 2025just got a new subtitled trailer. The film, which already won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival, is considered one of the favorites for this year’s Oscars, including the Best Film category. Check out the trailer below.

Directed by Brady Cobertknown as The Childhood of a Leader and Vox Lux – The Price of Famethe film brings Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Guy Pearce (Amnesia), Alessandro Nivola (Cheating), Joe Alwyn (Types of Kindness), Emma Laird (The Halloween Night) and Raffey Cassidy (Vox Lux) in the main cast.

The plot follows László Tóth (Brody), a Jewish and Hungarian architect who pioneered the use of brutalism, a technique that uses exposed concrete in his works. Fleeing Europe during the rise of Nazism, Tóth and his wife Erzsébet (Jones) migrate to the United States, where they face challenges in search of a new life. There, he meets a businessman (Pearce) who changes the direction of his career and his personal life. Despite being a fictional character, the name László Tóth is a reference to the geologist who vandalized Michelangelo’s Pietà in 1972.

The Brutalist opens in Brazilian cinemas on February 20, 2025.
