A series about Grimm, but with a modern version? That was the promise of the eponymous series that aired on NBC in 2011. David Giuntol played Inspector Nick Burkhardt, who discovers that he is one of the last descendants of this family of hunters, whose famous stories are not fairy tales, but real facts.
He goes in search of these supernatural beings that can harm humans. It’s a new world for Nick, the rules of which he has to meet. He’s fortunately aided by Eddie Monroe, a fierce ex-werewolf (Russell Hornsby), who stays on the straight and narrow thanks to a clever mix of medication, diet and fitness sessions…
Despite a sluggish launch, Grimm quickly found an audience in the United States, but also in France, where it was broadcast on Syfy in 2012. Its success was such that the fantasy series ran for 6 seasons.
Its rating on AlloCiné shows its popularity. With an excellent average of 4.1 out of 5, it ranks at the top of the basket. But even so, it’s not a series we’d imagine (or even demand) a return.
It’s official, this iconic series from the 2000s is coming back, even though we didn’t ask for it
