Original blaster by Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, up for auction in August
The original blaster used by Han Solo (Harrison Ford) who helped the Rebel Alliance topple the Empire in Star Wars it could be yours! The DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol weapon, from the original trilogy of Star Warswill go up for auction in August of this year by the Rock Island Auction Company.
The object is not a replica and was actually used in the set of Star Wars: A New Hope (1977). The DL-44 first appears in Episode IV and is used by Han Solo in the movies The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983).
According to a press release, blaster was lost after filming the first film, being replaced by replicas in the sequels. However, the original weapon was found and has a certificate of authenticity that proves it is the first.
the blaster of Han is actually a modified Mauser C96 broomstick pistol that was used as a prop in several other films, including the spy feature by Frank Sinatra from 1967, Naked Runner. The gun will be auctioned on August 27, along with an autographed photo of Ford. It is estimated that the object will be sold for between US$ 300 and 500 thousand.
