This is called the snowball effect. Season 2 of Squid Game , which launched on December 26th, has been a phenomenal success, as expected, especially with the series’ best start of all time on Netflix. But the hype of the South Korean series also allowed another program to make waves.
Alice in Wonderland is in the top 10 most watched series on Netflix this week. Season two has amassed 1.2 million views and more than 8 million watch hours over the past seven days. A success that bodes well for the third season of the Japanese series, which will air on the platform later this year.
Adapted from Aso Haro’s manga, Alice in Borderland features deadly games involving designated candidates. While we thought the trials were over at the end of Season 2, a post-credits scene finally announced the upcoming release of Season 3. It has already been filmed but currently has no release date.
When Squid Game was released, many internet users pointed out the similarities between the two series. However, it was determined that there is no connection between the two programs and that the common elements are the result of coincidence. However, this criticism did not prevent the two series from experiencing significant success with Netflix subscribers.
The first two seasons of Squid Game are now available exclusively on Netflix.
