John Wick is back in action.
The advancement of the fourth part of the film franchise, John Wickshared during a Comic-Con panel on Friday, teasing the epic battle sequence.
In Lionsgate’s trailer for the film, Vic de Reeves is first seen hitting the ropes when the retired former hitman is asked, “I wonder where this ends?” And he said, “No one, not even you, can kill everyone.”
Throughout the trailer, Vic de Reeves is seen taking on various thugs and wielding a variety of weapons, including nunchucks. Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King then asks, “Are you ready, John?” To which Vic de Reeves simply replies, “Yes.”
A glimpse of the film was first shown at CinemaCon earlier this year. Reeves and director Chad Stahelski said the hollywood reporter that one of his goals for the fourth film was to “continue to find new and interesting ways to make John Wick suffer”.
“That’s where the action comes from. Find out how to make him suffer and then project back,” Stahelski said at the time.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum It became the highest-grossing action film after just 10 days of its release. The film grossed and exceeded $181 million at the worldwide box office. John Wick: Chapter 2$171.5 million and original John Wick which ended its 2014 run with $88.7 million worldwide.
On whether the fourth film would be John Wick’s last film, Reeves said at the time, “Let’s do it one at a time”, while Stahelski added, “Let’s do it one at a time. Time. As the author; Write a chapter, erase a chapter, write the next chapter.”
