In December last year, the singer underwent surgery that lasted more than 20 hours to remove the tumor from her abdomen. She he ended up in intensive care, but left the unit after a few weeks and has remained hospitalized ever since.
On Friday the 10th the singer said that she is fighting hard to heal, but that the post-operative period is complicated. “I’m here in the hospital, recovering from surgery, which was very extensive, very major and has a very difficult post-surgery period and I’m here living one day at a time, fighting, trying my best to heal,” he said.
“[Estou] I’m dying to get out of here as soon as possible, but there’s still a recovery journey ahead of me, a lot of rehab and everything will be fine, I’m here firm and strong. I will return home soon, God willing,” he added.
The singer has already undergone radiotherapy sessions and a total hysterectomy, a procedure which involves the removal of the uterus.
