The actress Kathryn Hahn is in negotiations to play the villain Mother Gothel in the live-action remake of Tangledaccording to information from journalist Daniel Richtman (via Omelet). Furthermore, the contract speculated by Disney would include plans for a derivative film centered on the character, scheduled for release in theaters.

The live-action Tangled There is no announced cast yet. The script will be signed by Ashleigh Powellfrom The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The management may be in charge of Michael Graceyfrom Better Man: The Robbie Williams Story.

Based on the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm, Tangled accompanies Rapunzela princess with magically long hair who lives trapped in a tower. With the help of the bandit Flynn Ridershe manages to escape and begins to explore the world beyond her prison.
