The current value of the Brazilian champion is the lowest since 2010, when he was still a promising player for Santos
Outside of the European market, Neymar is generating enthusiasm among fans of some Brazilian clubs, particularly Santos, for a return to Brazilian football. In the final stages of recovery from a ruptured left hamstring, the current Al-Hilal player, originally from Saudi Arabia, recently hinted at the possibility of a football move to the United States, where his friends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. But, ultimately, how much is Neymar worth on the football market? Has its rating dropped in recent years?
According to the specialized site ‘Transfermarkt’, the Brazilian’s figures have dropped drastically, reaching a value of 15 million euros (almost 94 million reals). This, in fact, became the lowest value since it still stood out as a jewel of Peixe, in 2010. At the time, its market value was 14 million euros.
Neymar has lived with a marked devaluation since he reached his peak, when he wore the shirt of Paris Saint-Germain, in France. Between 2018 and 2019 the attacker’s value was 180 million euros. From then on Neymar saw considerable declines. In June 2023, when he said goodbye to the French club, the Brazilian was valued at 60 million euros.
At the time of the transfer to Al-Hilal, the initial valuation made by the site was 50 million euros, and the value is undergoing a free fall, largely due to the serious injury suffered by Neymar in October 2023, which he kept away from the field. For the 2024/2025 season, Neymar played just 42 minutes, without recording any goals or assists.
