Zendaya and Tom Holland turned the 2026 Emmy Awards into a date night on September 14, walking the red carpet together as newlyweds while the Euphoria star waited to find out whether she had won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Zendaya, nominated for her role as Rue Bennett in Euphoria, wore an embellished nude illusion gown adorned with delicate silver beading, finished with Mikimoto pearl jewelry. Holland wore a tailored black Dior suit that complemented his wife's look, and the pair were all smiles as he held her close inside the Peacock Theater.
The outing came just months after the couple's fashion-forward press tour for the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and weeks after they publicly debuted their gold wedding bands last month.
How Zendaya and Holland Met
Zendaya and Holland are longtime Spider-Man co-stars who met while filming 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, in which she played MJ opposite his Peter Parker. The pair have since become one of Hollywood's most closely watched couples, regularly turning heads together on red carpets as well as on screen.
Holland has credited his wife with sharpening his own performances. "The truth is that she raises the game," he told E! News in July. "She's the type of actress where every scene is better when she's in it. She raises the stakes for everyone."
"She's truthful in every decision she makes as an actress," he continued. "And any time that I get to share the screen with her, I'm very lucky."
Zendaya on Finding "Her Person"
Zendaya has also spoken about the sense of calm she feels with Holland. Speaking on the New York Times' Modern Love podcast in April, she said, "There's a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew that this is my person. I don't feel nervous. I feel really peaceful."
"I feel really calm and feel like, 'Oh, I actually feel more nervous when I'm away from you than when I'm with you,'" she continued. "And that's when I was like, 'Ah, that's a good sign. That's me listening to intuition.'"
A String of Red Carpet Moments
The Emmys appearance extended a run of standout red carpet looks for the couple this year. In July, Zendaya closed out the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour with a showstopping Tamara Ralph couture gown featuring subtle spiderweb detailing at the film's U.K. premiere.
Zendaya, also known for playing a competitive tennis player in Challengers, and Holland, who starred in the 2021 drama Cherry, first built their on-screen chemistry in the Marvel franchise before their off-screen relationship became public.
The 2026 Emmy Awards
The ceremony, held at the Peacock Theater, was hosted by Mariska Hargitay and recognized the year's standout achievements in American television. Euphoria, the HBO drama in which Zendaya has starred as Rue Bennett since 2019, previously earned her two Emmy wins for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, in 2020 and 2022.
Zendaya's nomination placed her in contention for one of the night's marquee acting categories alongside other stars who walked the carpet, including Selena Gomez, Nicole Kidman, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Florence Pugh.
