Dudu’s wife responds on social media to Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras

Businesswoman Paula Caroline Campos came to the Cruzeiros striker’s defense on social media and revealed the ‘behind the scenes’ behind his departure from Alviverde

Paula Caroline Campos, Dudu’s wife, from Cruzeiro, accused President Leila Pereira of having “personal problems” with the attacker. The businesswoman used social media to defend her husband and deny the Palmeiras representative’s statements about the departure of Alviverde’s idol “through the back door”.

First, Paula Caroline reiterated her admiration for his wife Leila Pereira, distinguishing her from the president. The businesswoman immediately changed her tone and questioned the director, even accusing her of “never accepting the numerous attempts to meet” proposed by Dudu.

“I have always admired you in many ways as a woman. However, you did not tirelessly ask your managers to talk to him [Dudu] before leaving so as not to say anything publicly about you and the whole story? As a manager, you have an obligation to have difficult conversations and provide feedback to your employees, so that there are no doubts in the relationship”, and continues:

“You became a giant in interviews, but you never accepted the countless attempts to meet that he proposed. Even so as not to end up like this. Furthermore, after the bomb interview, you patted yourself on the back and said that you loved Him. And the millions they lost due to a pre-contractual debt? Ah, forgiveness is selective, I have never seen someone generate so much hatred and resentment just because the player gets along with the fans and coaches of the past, darling”, he added.

Confusion between Dudu and Leila

Palmeiras launched the new shirt for the season at an event last Monday (13th), in Sao Paulo. Present at the celebration, president Leila Pereira held a short press conference and sparked controversy by comparing the position of Dudu and Rony on the “end of the cycle” of Alviverde.

The representative stated that Dudu “exited through the back door”, while Rony, if he leaves the club, will do so through the front exit. Leila also said that the reinforcement of Cruzeiro brought millionaire losses to Alviverde’s coffers.

“(…) In the middle of the year, when I said that the end of his cycle had begun [após o Dudu negociar com o Cruzeiro]I was right. And they waited until the end of the year for the athlete to leave without Palmeiras gaining absolutely anything, generating a loss of millions (…)”, he assessed.

“Completely different from Rony. Rony didn’t go to propose himself to any club (…). He came out in front, Dudu came out behind”, concluded Leila.

Dudu, in turn, rebutted the officer via social media. “The truck was heavy and they told me to go out the back door. My story was huge and sincere, different from yours, Ms. Leila Pereira. Forget me. VTNC.”

New cycle in Palmeiras

Leila Pereira restarted her cycle at the club with Dudu’s departure already completed, even before the end of the season. In November, the president won the club elections with 2,295 votes against 858 for her competitor Savério Orlandi. The president will remain in office for another three years.
