Attention fans of high-voltage thrillers, Apple TV+ has just revealed the trailer for the new series, which will be suspended for 8 episodes. Created by Steve Thompson (Sherlock, Doctor Who, Jericho), this fiction called Prime Target has everything to be your obsession at the beginning of the year.
Exciting thriller from the beginning of the year
Prime Target tells the story of a brilliant mathematician, Edward Brooks, who is on the verge of a great discovery. If he can decipher prime numbers, he holds the key to the world’s computers.
He quickly realizes that an invisible enemy is trying to prevent him from developing his idea. He then crosses paths with Teyla Sanders, an NSA agent responsible for monitoring the mathematician. Together, they begin to track down the conspiracy that Edward is at the center of.
Blending science, conspiracy, action and suspense, Prime Target promises to twist your brain and hold your breath throughout the episodes, which will air weekly starting January 22 on Apple TV +.
A new stream star is shown
This promising thriller is helmed by a rising streaming star who shined in popular series: Leo Woodall. The British actress made her debut in Cherry, directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, and in Vampire Academy’s Julie Plec.
But above all, he saw his career take off in a new direction when he landed the pivotal role of Jack in Season 2 of The White Lotus opposite Tom Hollander. Leo Woodall was then seen in the action series Citadel on Prime Video before playing Dexter, the romantic lead in One Day on Netflix.
Produced by Ridley Scott’s production company Scott Fry, he stars alongside Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets, Black Adam, The Master Gardener), Stephen Rea (V for Vendetta), David Morris (The Walking Dead), Martha Plimpton ( Raising Hope ), Sidse Babette Knudsen ( Borgen ), Jason Fleming (Pennyworth), Harry Lloyd (Arcane) and Fra Fay (Rebellious Moon).
Leo Woodall is becoming an important face in the world of small screen and streaming, but he will soon take over the theaters, as he will appear in the fourth part of the adventures of Bridget Jones with Renee Zellweger.
The first two episodes of “Prime Target” will be available on January 22, 2025 on Apple TV+, followed by a new episode every Wednesday until March 5.
