Fortaleza looks to maintain regional hegemony and win its fourth title in the 2025 Copa do Nordeste.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) held the group draw for the Superbet Copa do Nordeste 2025 this Tuesday (14th). Divided into two groups of eight teams each, the competition will see the participation of five teams currently in Serie A of the Brazilian Championship : Fortaleza, Bahia, Ceará, Vitória and Sport.
Fortaleza, the reigning champions, are in Group A together with Sport, Vitória, CRB-AL, Ferroviário-CE, Altos-PI, Sousa-PB and Moto Club-MA. Leão da Pici seeks to repeat the success of the last edition, in which he won his third title of the tournament after beating CRB on penalties, with Yago Pikachu deciding the dispute.
The competition is scheduled to begin on January 22nd, promising high-level clashes in home and away matches, with the finals scheduled for September 3rd and 7th.
