A month before Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters, Marvel has released a new trailer for Julius Ona’s film.
In the first feature film of 2025, Maison des Idées, Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson and dons the iconic Captain America costume for the first time, passing the Falcon torch to Danny Ramirez.
Shortly after meeting the new President of the United States, Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford, making his MCU debut, Sam Wilson finds himself thrust into the heart of a gigantic international incident. In a fierce race against time, he is forced to discover the cause of this nefarious plot before the real mastermind of the operation soon sets the world on fire…
A welcome reminder
These new pictures are starting Flashbacks Taken from Avengers: Endgame, it shows Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) offering his shield to a friend. This reminder, absent from the first trailer, allows viewers who haven’t seen Falcon and Winter Soldier to enjoy a quick refresher.
Much more chronological than the previous one, this trailer reveals that adamantium, the fictional indestructible metal (most notably used for Captain America’s shield and Wolverine’s claws), is at the heart of the film and the conflicts between the nations.

These images also reveal more about one of the new antagonists. After appearing in the shadows, he declares to Sam Wilson that “it’s all beyond him”. It could be the leader, real name Samuel Stearns, played by Tim Blake Nelson.
The latter has already appeared secretly from behind in the previous trailer. Additionally, we also know that Giancarlo Esposito is playing Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society, a group of formidable supervillains.
Harrison Ford will reappear as the Red Hulk to battle Captain America, much to the delight of fans.

Box office predictions not up to expectations?
This trailer is released at the US box office according to estimates (via term) estimate an opening weekend of $85 million to $95 million. Note that Captain America: Brave New World It comes out in the US on February 14th, during the long weekend (Monday is the President’s Day holiday).
Those numbers are close to those of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which made $95 million in its opening weekend in 2014. Captain Marvel, $153 million, Captain America: Civil War (the latest superhero installment to date) made $179 million, and Black Widow $80 million.
With these projections in the mid-range, Captain America: Brave New World could still become, respectively termThe first blockbuster of 2025 to cross $85 million in a single weekend.
The feature film will be released in French cinemas on February 12.
