Walking Dead: Very good news for fans of Rick and Michonne

This is the news that no one expected! Although there was always talk of Andrew Lincoln finding Rick Grimes’ boots after he left in the middle of Season 9. Walking Dead In 2018, he was supposed to be in a feature film. But in the end, it is in the mini-series that the actor will return to the sheriff costume.

This was indeed announced during a panel dedicated to the zombie series at Comic Con currently in full swing in San Diego, where Andrew Lincoln made a surprise appearance to share the news. And he didn’t come alone, because in this new adventure he is accompanied by Danai Gurira, aka Michonne, Rick’s companion, who has not been seen in the parent series since 2020.

The two characters will thus be reunited in a six-episode miniseries set to air next year on AMC+, the first synopsis of which has been released variety :

An epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. separated by a distance. with unstoppable power. What were the ghosts? Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world built on a war against the dead…and eventually, a war against the living.

Can they find themselves and rediscover who they were in a place and situation they’ve never known before? are they enemies are you in love victim? the winners? Are they alive without each other – or will they find that they are also dead?

It’s also worth noting that this as-yet-untitled series joins a long list of The Walking Dead spin-offs, including the anthology Tales of The Walking Dead, which will debut across the Atlantic, or a show centered around Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

Daryl (Norman Reedus) will also have his own series after the original show ends, the end date of which was also revealed at Comic Con, accompanied by a new trailer:
