If you grew up in the 90s or 2000s, he most likely made you laugh out loud more than once: goofy as hell, always looking for a new disaster to facilitate or a new whip to torture, Reese was without a doubt one of the funniest characters ever. In the Malcolm series.
The older brother of the main character (even if his translator was actually three months younger than Franky Muniz), he constantly competed in ingenuity in inventing the worst nonsense and finally discovered a real talent for cooking.
What happened to Reese’s translator?
But 19 years after the brilliant Linwood Boomer series ended, do you know what happened to Justin Burfield, who played Reese for 7 seasons?
The now 38-year-old American actor left filming very quickly after Malcolm’s Adventure ended. Aside from a few small roles as a voice actor (in the animated series Kim Possible and The Fairly OddParents), he put his acting career on hold to devote himself to producing.
Back to Malcolm?
In 2010, he notably worked on the sitcom, Sons of Tucson, as an executive producer, and also contributed to the production of feature films such as Limitless, My Movie Project or Bad Moms. (According to our colleagues from the excellent Malcolm-France site).
Passionate about fishing on the river, Justin Burfield is also involved in several charitable causes and has been especially devoted to his family since the birth of his daughter a few years ago.

In any case, we have every right to hope that he will soon reprise his role as Reese in the 4 new episodes of Malcolm that were recently announced on Disney+. His presence at this highly anticipated family reunion is truly a must for any die-hard fan of the series.
