Truth or lies… What is clear is that we are going to meet another face of the great villain of ‘The Walking Dead’.
Spoilers for ‘Tales of the Walking Dead’ below
‘Tales of the Walking Dead’ star Samantha Morton has hinted that her episode could change the events of the main series ‘The Walking Dead’. The anthology series will bring back Morton for a story set before she led the Whisperers to terrorize other survivors of the zombie apocalypse.
‘The Walking Dead’ actually already showed flashbacks of Alpha, formerly known as Dee, and her daughter Lydia in season nine to explain how far Dee had fallen to become a bloodthirsty mass murderer.
However, Morton did share during the ‘Tales of the Walking Dead’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con International on Friday, July 22 (which also gave us the first final trailer for Joe’s episode of ‘Tales’, the trailer of ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 11 Part 3 or the Rick and Michonne miniseries news) that those ‘TWD’ Season 9 flashbacks might not have been very accurate.
I was honored to return. Then it’s also exciting because, remember, the flashbacks in ‘The Walking Dead’ season 9, they were flashbacks of Lydia. We don’t know if they were true or not. So this is interesting because this is Alpha’s perspective. This is who Alpha was before he became Alpha. And it is excellent.
Producers Scott M. Gimple and Channing Powell have promised stories with new but also existing characters that will take place before, during and after the zombie plague has taken over society.
Speaking about possible ties between the various ‘The Walking Dead’ series, Powell joked, “There’s Alpha, so you obviously have that character coming back, and then we add a little bit of something that real fans might recognize that maybe it’s not. what it looks like. We don’t want to say too much about it.”
What will they refer to? We do not know it yet. What we are clear about is that Alpha is the most iconic villain, at least in the second half of the series, and knowing more about her, knowing the truth about her, will always be a welcome story in the universe of ‘The Walking Dead’.
