We will have to wait to discover the new movie Les 4 Fantastiques in the cinema! Marvel recently announced the release date at San Diego Comic-Con.
After the Josh Trank-directed version of Fantastic 4 in 2015 and its monumental failure, the superhero team has been sidelined by Marvel.
It looks like the page has been turned as studio big boss Kevin Feige has announced the date for Fantastic 4’s MCU reboot.
The Human Torch, the Thing, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman will return to the big screen in the US on November 8, 2024. (November 6 in France)
The feature film will have the honor of inaugurating Phase VI of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will conclude with The Avengers, Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
Also announced during Comic Con, the two films will be released on May 2 and November 7, 2025 in the US.
Jon Watts, director of the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy, was originally in charge of the Fantastic 4 project before stepping down. Marvel is still looking for a director at the moment.
We’ll definitely know more (casting, director) during D23, Disney’s September 9-11 event.
