Rivages on France 2: Fleur Geffrier reacts to a moving scene from the last episode

The Rivages series has just finished on France 2.

For three weeks, viewers have been enthralled by the adventures of Abigail (Fleur Geffrier), an oceanographer sent to Fecamp to investigate mysterious occurrences at sea.

During his research, the scientist ended up discovering that an unknown creature was haunting Fecamp Bay because he didn’t want to leave his dead child in the fishermen’s nets.

As the sailors hatched a plan to capture this “monster” and the army set out to capture it, Abigail had no choice but to save the creature. But in order to leave the bay, the creature and Abigail must both mourn the loss of their child.

Indeed, Abigail never recovered from the loss of her son, Enzo, who had drowned a few years earlier. An impossible mourning that forced him to flee Fecamp to rebuild his life. So her encounter with the creature allowed her to do the impossible, leading to a particularly touching scene between the two mothers.

“I burst into tears”

If the audience found the moment disturbing, so did Fleur Geffrier.

When I got the scene with Enzo, I burst into tears. I still have tears in my eyes when I think about it– Abigail’s interpreter, Fleur Gefrier, confided to the microphone of Alochine.

An incredible moment that he has wonderful memories of. “It was at the end of filming, so I already had the whole story etched into my head and my flesh. I was focused on what to do because there was a lot of technical stuff to cover. It was quite accurate. But at that moment I was a 5-year-old child. I was inside all the time. I loved doing that scene. I fulfilled my acting dreams with this series and especially with this scene. We let our imaginations speak, we let ourselves be carried away. It was excellent“.

An improvised scene three days before shooting

For this scene, Fleur Geffrier achieved a real physical feat, as the director of the series David Hourrègue explained to us. “Flor trained tirelessly throughout the day to bond with the creature. There was a moment when he was suspended at sea, dying and covered in blood, it was a colossal fate. “.

For the record, this scene between Abigail and the creature was improvised three days before filming. Director says:For the record, we arranged this intimate meeting, which he will have at that moment, three days before the shooting. The idea came up on Saturday, and on Monday the team didn’t even know what to talk about. And the little one arrived, and Fleur had to face this moment of meeting and forgiveness with selflessness.“.
