“Sonic 4” is confirmed and gets a theatrical release date

The success of sonic 3 left no doubt that there would be a continuation of the story in theaters. The film broke the franchise’s box office record, reaching more than $420 million worldwide.

And even before the production is made available on digital platforms, which should happen in January, Paramount has announced the date of its successor. sonic 4 will be released in American theaters on March 19, 2027.

Launched in 2020 and 2022 respectively, Sonic AND Sonic 2 brought the adventures of the blue hedgehog from the classic Sega games to live-action. Together, they have grossed more than $700 million (about R$4.2 trillion) at the global box office.

The third film has already established itself as the biggest success of the series. Remembering that the long journey has begun and could even exceed the numbers already achieved. In any case, success is a reality.

The franchise features Ben Schwartz as the protagonist and Idris Elba as Knuckles, as well as James Marsden and Tika Sumpter in the live-action cast. Keanu Reeves voices the villain Shadow and Jim Carrey plays Eggman.
