Al EarthThe Public Security Secretariat of San Paolo (SSP) reported that the military police were called by a friend of the victim, who went to the address to verify the damage caused by Friday’s rain.
Once on the spot, the witness found that a vehicle, dragged by the current, had damaged the garage door of the Rodolpho house, which would have facilitated the entrance of the water into the home.

The friend then entered the house and found the artist, already dead, and called the police. The case was recorded as a suspected death in the 14th police district of San Paolo. An inspection of the position was also carried out.
On social media, the Jacques Ardies gallery, which represented Rodolpho, paid tribute to the artist. “It was an honor to be a colleague of the gallery of this incredible artist, my visit to his study, when I was still at the beginning, was unforgettable, generosity and cordiality. My condolences,” said one of the comments.
Inheritance as an urban artist
Tamanini was seen as a careful and extremely creative artist, with an unmistakable pictorial aesthetic. “Just looking at the painting did we already know that he was signed by him,” said Jacques Ardies, friend and owner of the gallery that represented the artist, a Estadao.
“It will always be remembered as an urban artist and will leave a sensational legacy. He painted showing himself, showing his vision of the city, always very poetic and allegorical,” adds Ardies.
In a website dedicated to Rodolpho Tamanini, the artist is highlighted by productions focused on giant skies, providing a contrast with painted human beings, often represented in small and imperceptible dimensions. An aesthetic chosen to give greater “serenity to its landscapes”, describes the text of the site.
He also had a predilection for themes related to the sea, to the coastal life, to the elements of nature and also on the suburbs of the cities. “He liked to represent the favela in a cheerful way, with smiling people,” recalls Ardies.
Rodolpho Manini began working as an artist in the late 1960s, before he still turns 18, and holds his first exhibitions between 1970 and 1971.
