Night Agent: This actress could have played Rosie, but she ends up appearing in Season 2 for a very specific reason!

That’s right, after a two-year wait, The Night Agent returns to Netflix. In Season 2, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) officially joins Night Action, an ultra-secret agency headed by the President of the United States. For the first mission, our hero finds himself in Bangkok with his new partner Alice to track down a CIA man who is selling ultra-secret information.

Pitch Perfect fans will recognize the actress who portrays her: Brittany Snow. The 38-year-old slips into the shoes of a proven night-time operative who must train Peter in the field. And the two characters share some pretty intense scenes.

“I wanted someone whose name was famous”

If Snow featured prominently in The Night Agent Season 2, it’s for a very specific reason, as series creator Sean Ryan reveals in the production notes:

“Brittany auditioned to play Rose in the first season and I really liked what she came up with. In the end, we chose LucianWhich I guess was the right thing to do, but I never forgot Brittany. We wanted someone who grabbed attention as soon as she appeared on screen. I wanted someone whose name was known. Throughout my career, I’ve been able to photograph people in different genres than you’re used to seeing them.”

True, we have never seen Brittany Snow as a spy, and the result is quite convincing. Before discovering her talent as a singer in the musical saga Pitch Perfect, the actress tried her hand at almost every genre: drama in My Beautiful Years, horror in Prom-Night and X, comedy with Baby-Sittor…

If Brittany Snow is not expected to appear in season 3 of The Night Agent, which has already been announced by Netflix and whose new casting we know, she will soon star in a new series for the platform. He will be seen in the thriller The Beast In Me, starring Matthew Rhys (The Americans) and Claire Danes (Homeland).

The latter will fall to the famous author, who left public life after the tragic death of his son. He finds the subject of a new book when the house next door is bought by Niall Sheldon, a famous and feared real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Appalled and fascinated by this man, Egi sets out to find the truth…

A mini-series is expected on the platform in 2025.
