One of the most important cinematic events of the PAIS, the Rio Festival helps to spread new productions and cinema professionals
The organization of Rio Festival This Tuesday announced (28), on his social networks, the dates of the 27th edition of the film event. This year, the festival will take place in the city of Rio de Janeiro and the metropolitan region, between October 2 and 12.
“National and international films, awarded and unpublished, as well as debates, lectures and more, in this great talent meeting with the public”promised the organization in the ad.
Last year, the Rio Festival presented national films as Babyfrom MARCELO CAETANO (Electric body), and Malufrom Pedro Freire (My piece of floor), which divided the redeeming trophy of best fiction feature film, in the circuit Première Brasildedicated to national productions and one of the main showcases of Brazilian cinema.
The festival was also responsible for bringing Emilia Pérez for their first exhibitions on Brazilian lands. Highlight in the current season of awards, the feature starring Karla Sofa Gasco (Rebel), Zoë Saldaña (Avatar: The Water Way) and Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), received 13 nominations in 12 Oscar categories 2025.
