Ariane goes to Emma, who is alone at home, to tell her that her mother’s body was found there under a pile of gravel. Emma thought her mother had gone to Spain.
Ariane asks him to provide something that belonged to Alice so that he can compare the DNA. Emma gives him a Mother’s Day present she found in the trash and admits that her relationship with her mother has long since soured.
Emma then suspects that Jacob took it out on her because when Alice left for Spain, he intended to bring Camille back to Nice. However, Camille was adamantly against it, and Jacob had a habit of getting rid of characters who bothered him. Ariane asks Emma about Camille’s reaction when her mother allegedly abandoned her at the train station. Emma recalls that her sister was quite normal…
In turn, Kevin also introduces Camille. The young girl worries herself, and then tries to find out the circumstances of Alice’s death. Kevin informs him no, but he promises to find the killer.
At the same time, Justin finds Baptiste asleep in the fire station locker room. He admits that he spent the night there because Emma kicked him out after she discovered their relationship. Justin offers to take a break from their relationship if he needs to make a move. But Baptiste says he still wants to be with her.
They will then meet with Laure Debas, ONF, who works with RCCI. Its purpose is to determine the starting zone and the cause of the fire (natural, accidental or malicious). He prepared a list for them of all the stores in the area that sell abalone shells, so that they could track down the burn among customers. Throughout the interview, Baptiste refuses numerous calls from Kevin trying to reach him.
The latter accompanied Camille to the forensic institute where Emma was found to identify Alice’s body. Emma watches her sister, who is suddenly having trouble breathing. He eventually confronts her and accuses her of being involved in Alice’s death…
Patrick calls Prune in Jean-Paul’s presence for their infiltration mission. He offers to talk in his building, but she claims that there are too many people because of the shooting. Patrick then offers her an appointment at Marci.
Later, Prune approaches Jean-Paul at the Place du Mistral as he takes the Auror away in a carriage. Prune flatters Jean-Paul by comparing him to Emperor Augustus, then asks him to come to a scheduled meeting with Patrick to discuss the casting of the child.
Patrick gets a little jealous when he sees Jean-Paul arrive. When Prune joins them, they admit that they already know each other. Prune explains to them that there are several audition stages for the babies, but in the end actress Jennifer Mitchum decides. Prune then suggests that they prepare a book of professional photos of their children that they can take on her premises for an unaffordable price.
At the roommate, Sylvia and Emily notice that Romain is drowning at work after Fan goes on vacation. While sorting through the mail, Sylvia noticed a postcard sent by a fan. She reads aloud to her compatriots: a fan writes that she got a job as a waiter on an ocean liner and that she is traveling around the world. Romain is deeply disappointed.
When she returns to her office, Sylvia feels guilty. Convinced that Fan will not develop feelings for Romain when they are supposed to be together, Sylvia plans to intervene in their story again. But Emily thinks it will make it worse. In this case, Sylvia should at least be honest and admit to Romain that she pretended to be a fan and wrote him a letter to get him to go to Paris.
Despite Emily’s reluctance, Sylvia goes to Romain’s office to tell him the truth and ask for forgiveness. But the doctor is very angry when he learns that Fan doesn’t share his feelings and that he left his ex-wife for a lie.
Later, Emily realizes that Romain is mad at Sylvia. While the latter is busy with his business at Marci’s, Emil joins Romain with the neighbor and confesses that she knew about the fake letter. The doctor admits that he is hurt, but also admits that he should mourn Fan’s story.
