Ariane goes to Emma, ​​who is alone at home, to tell her that her mother’s body was found there under a pile of gravel. Emma thought her mother had gone to Spain.

Ariane asks him to provide something that belonged to Alice so that he can compare the DNA. Emma gives him a Mother’s Day present she found in the trash and admits that her relationship with her mother has long since soured.

Emma then suspects that Jacob took it out on her because when Alice left for Spain, he intended to bring Camille back to Nice.
