Japanese production company Toei has released a behind-the-scenes video of the live-action film adapting “Knights of the Zodiac.” The preview shows rehearsal and filming of various action scenes, as well as a mix of Western and Asian actors.

Based on the popular manga by Masami Kurumada, the anime The Knights of the Zodiac was a major fever in Brazil in the 90’s. The plot follows young people recruited to become Athena’s knights and defenders of humanity, most notably Seiya, who receives the Armor of Pegasus and, along with his friends, he fights to protect Saori Kido, the reincarnation of the goddess, from her enemies.

The film is directed by Polish short film Tomasz Baginski, but in command of the scenes in the preview is veteran Andy Cheng, who served as stunt coordinator for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.

The stars of the cast are Famke Janssen (Jean Gray / Dark Phoenix in the first “X-Men” trilogy), Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones” and “Express of Tomorrow”), Madison Iseman (“Jumanji: The Next” Level “), Mark Dacascos (” John Wick 3 “), Nick Stahl (” Terminator 3 “) and Mackenyu Arata (” Pacific Rim: Uprising “), who plays the protagonist Seiya.

The first is scheduled for 2023.
