New version of the series will have Sarah Michelle Gellar in the cast and Chloé Zhao towards the pilot
Buffy, the vampire hunt It is officially back. The 1990s classic will win a reboot, and SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR Returns to the universe of the series that made it an icon of pop culture. The new production will follow a new hunter, while Buffy Summers will appear recurrently. In addition to acting, Gellar will also be executive producer, next to Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui and Dolly Parton. Joss Whedoncreator of the original series, is not involved in the project (via Deadline).
Buffy’s return
The original series was aired 1997 to 2003 and accompanied Buffy Summersa young woman who finds out to be chosen to combat vampires, demons and other supernatural creatures. The new project, however, brings her character back without the actress taking over the central protagonism.
There is still no information about the rest of the cast or the debut date, but the production must be launched by the Disney+platform that currently displays the original series.
