From Spider-Man, you know the various animated series, the Sam Raimi trilogy or the films that Andrew Garfield wore before giving up the suit to Tom Holland. But do you know Supaidaman, the spider in Samurai Land?
Japanese Spider-Man? Good joke! Yes Yes. And no, this is not a joke. This is a 1978-1979 TV version (but not released here) titled Supaidâman and produced by Toei. While comedian Shinji Todō lent his voice and face to Spider-Man, another comedian named Hirofumi Koga donned the costume.
how did it look for that!
In this crazy adaptation – but done with the blessing of the Marvel team – Spider-Man is actually a young biker (!) named Takuya Yamashiro, who one day receives a bracelet containing spider DNA.
The same bracelet allows him to don the Spider-Man costume and gain Spider-Man powers. Our pantyhose superhero also has a giant mecha robot named Leopardon (!!), armed to the teeth, fighting against the Steel Cross gang (!).
Consisting of 41 25-minute episodes, this series helped revive the genre Super Sentai. in 1979, Battle Fever JThus began a joint Marvel and Toei television series consisting of 52 25-minute episodes. This is the first series that is officially part of the franchise. Super Sentai seriescreated for the occasion.
