Every day, AlloCiné recommends watching a movie (again) on TV. Tonight: Comedy with Daniel O’Teil.
Following the 11 Commandments by comedies La Beuze and Michaël Youn, the duo of screenwriters and directors Thomas Soria and François Desanat explores the theme of adolescence. and more specifically about generational gaps.
After 15 and a half years in the United States, scientist Philippe Le Talec is forced to return to France to take care of his daughter Eglantine, whom he never raised. Despite his good intentions, he quickly finds himself caught off guard by the girl’s reluctance…
Inspired by Steve Martin in Thirteen by the Dozen and Father of the Bride, the father is played by Daniel Ott. After a chain of shooting thrillers (MR-73 and Second Wind), the latter returns to the comedy genre in its best form. To answer it, aspiring actress Juliet Lambol was one of the first candidates among the 600 teenagers who submitted to the casting.
Clearly relevant to its time (especially the behavior of adults with their codes and their vocabulary), 15 and a half years is a hilarious comedy, punctuated by good ideas and well-felt lines.
15 and a half years By François Desannat and Thomas Soriot with Daniel Autel, Juliette Lambolly, François Damien…
