Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Wants To Explore More Of The Justice Society Of America After Black Adam
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson talked about future projects (both movies and series) of DC Extended Universe (DCEU) after the release of black adamwhich hits Brazilian theaters on October 20, 2022. After being hired for the role since 2014, the movie star finally embodied the character in the feature directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
During an interview with Den of Geek, The Rock commented on the future of Justice Society of Americaformed by Atom Crusher (Noah Centineo), Black Hawk (Aldis Hodge), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), and Hurricane (Quintessa Swindell), at the DCEU after the movie.
“The whole goal was for our film to start a bigger universe, where we could present the Justice Society of America and also build more from there,” said Dwayne Johnson. “If audiences respond well to these characters – which we thought they would, and now we see that they do – we want to honor their mythologies and build their stories on their own in spin-offs, movies, TV shows and things like that. has always been important.”
black adam: How did The Rock save the movie with a call?
The Rock changed the story of the movie from black adam after making a call with the producer Beau Flynn. Initially, the idea of A.D was to introduce the anti-hero into the same story as Shazambut the actor thought it would not be a good idea and convinced the executives of Warner Bros. pictures to make a solo film.
“When we received an early draft of the script, I immediately felt that we had to separate the two stories. we had to honor Shazam!and what should be done to please the fans, and then also tell our story in another project,” he said in an interview with comic book (via The Addiction).

the producer flynn immediately agreed with the idea: “Dwayne [Johnson, também conhecido como The Rock] made this call with me and Hiram [Garcia], where it said, ‘brothers, let’s do Black Adam. Let’s tell this story. It is something very big and important.’ And that was it. It was really amazing… His instincts are extraordinary. We were developing this script [com Shazam e Adão Negro], but it was not working. Nobody could find a way to make it work properly. When that call happened, everything changed.”
