While in the first seasons the fans just wanted to know the unfolding of the plot, if Jack (Martin Henderson) and Mel would really be together, if the protagonist had overcome the trauma of the loss of her husband, among other things, now there is only one doubt: why that time passes so slowly virgin river?

between dramas as happens since the first season, the arrival of two characters has shaken the routine of the inhabitants of the small Californian town. The season introduces us to Dr. Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanimé), a doctor who arrives to help Mel and Doc (Tim Matheson) at the clinic. We also meet Denny Cutler (Kai Bradbury), who arrives at Virgin River as Doc’s unknown nephew.
The emergence of the two characters brings mysterious plots to the series, particularly with Denny. virgin river transforms the young man into a person of whom we do not know if he is reliable or not, and this mistrust persists until the end of the season. Finally, the storyline shows that Denny is just another exciting and compelling storyline to enhance the script.
In the case of the new doctor, who has already introduced himself to the series and the city as a heartthrob, the promise was that his presence would shake the relationship between Mel and Jack, perhaps with a feeling reciprocated. virgin riverhowever, he opted for the security of the couple series, with the Doctor turning away from the discomfort caused by his attraction to Mel and his unsolicited opinions about Jack.
Both characters brought a fresh new season vibe to the virgin river, although the series is leaving fans confused about the timeline of events, which is greatly strengthened in the new episodes. Among the little stories that were getting updates during season 4, the viewer’s focus was on understanding how long it had been since Mel’s arrival in town, as a lot has happened since then.
How much time has passed?
The question that most intrigues fans virgin river talks about Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) pregnancy, which was revealed at the end of the first season. It was a shock, then, to learn that in Season 4 the character was still expecting twins and that she is only five months pregnant.
If the pregnancy did not exist, all that happened virgin river until then it could have seemed to have lasted much more than a year, not only because of the number of events, but also because of their intensity. While Mel judged her to be her sister for having a new boyfriend and already being married to him, the protagonist herself was already sharing her life with Jack, whom she had known for less than five months. With the old and new character plots virtually resolved by the end of the season, the latest episode brought an outcome that was not expected at this point of events: Charmaine reveals that Jack isn’t the father of the twins he’s waiting for. Therefore, virgin river it’s established as another great soap opera we love to follow, being so comforting to watch that we even ignore some holes in the script and questionable situations.
The series continues to conquer for the characteristics that have made it successful, also bringing the longest pregnancy in the history of the world series and leaving fans confused. The plot, fortunately, is already renewed for the fifth season and it shouldn’t be long before we’ll probably see a time jump for the story to get so boring and cloying.
