After investing in adaptation Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Disney studios will bet on another fantasy world. According to information from the American magazine Varietythe book Eragon will win a live-action series developed by Disney +.
The story is the first of the tetralogy Inheritance cyclewritten by Cristoforo Paoliniand had already inspired a movie in 2006. The work, however, did not satisfy fans and scored 5.1 on IMDb.
according to Variety, the series is in its early stages, so no decisions have been officially made. Sources told the magazine that the adaptation is already in development.
The author of the tetralogy will act as a co-writer e Bert Salke will be the executive producer of the series. No release date yet for Eragon.
The saga originating from the book follows the story of the young Eragon, who discovers a dragon egg who later takes the name of Saphira.
