90 days boyfriendthis is Giulia Troukina Yes Brandon Gibbs They went through a lot of drama early in their journey, and much of it had to do with Brandon’s parents. Ron Yes Betty Gibb he collided with his son and tried impose many rules which created a wedge between Brandon and Julia. They also wanted Brandon to take an active role in running the farm, albeit Brandon I want to start elsewhere so it was amazing to hear in the last one 90 day diaries that Ron and Betty are downsizing the farm.
Yes, Ron and Betty are downsizing the farm and are also considering selling it entirely. While Betty was initially against the idea of her and she wanted to keep trying to keep her around in case Brandon wanted it, she revealed her during 90 day diaries that recent events prompted her and Ron to reconsider their position on country life:
I think the hardest thing about having a farm with all animals is the fact that we don’t have the freedom to travel or do many of the things we want to do. Another reality we have had to contend with recently is the fact that Ron was diagnosed with cancer a decade ago. And we were very lucky that you did well, but it puts a reality in your guts saying, “Where do we go from here?”
Ron Gibbs shared in February that he was diagnosed with cancer after doctors discovered a small tumor during a colonoscopy. Ron explained in a Instagram video that the tumor had been surgically removed and that after 30 days of chemotherapy treatment he appeared to be in good health. However, knowing a cancer diagnosis can be a life-changing experience, so it’s no surprise that the 90 days boyfriend the couple reconsider their life on the farm and their dog breeding business (that fans have criticized ).
90 day diaries revealed that Ron still wanted to give the farm to Brandon and Julia, but with the caveat that only Brandon and Julia would live on the property. While the young couple seemed to be thinking about the situation, Betty had other ideas about it. Ron analyzed it and explained that managing her farm at her age is becoming increasingly difficult:
A few months ago, I thought about giving the farm to Brandon and Julia and letting them take over, but Betty didn’t like it. This farm is high maintenance and there are always things to fix on the farm. We have sixty-five animals to look after somewhere in the neighborhood and I work up to eight hours a day on the farm. At my age, I don’t think it’s sustainable.
The episode ended with Betty and Ron selling most of their sheep and goats. 90 day diaries showed that Betty was not yet ready to sell the farm, especially as she felt she was closing the book on an important chapter in her life. At the same time, she agreed with Ron that perhaps it was time for her to stop focusing on work and focus more on enjoying the rest of their life together, no matter how long it might take. They were hoping to buy an RV, see the country and visit old friends, which sounds like a solid retirement plan. Hopefully, they come up with a plan for the future and that Brandon and Julia can continue to have a healthy relationship with them and find a way to enter the next big spin-off .
90 day diaries airs on TLC on Mondays at 9pm ET. The season is ending, so it’s a good time to see what new shows are previewing and we find a new show to obsess over while we wait for the next season of 90 day boyfriend: happily ever after? .
