Netflix confirms the theft of thousands of pounds in jewelry on the set of ‘The Crown’. 350 objects were stolen, including a replica of a Fabergé egg.

During the robbery, more than 350 objects were taken, among which was a replica of a Fabergé egg, a wall clock, a dressing table, glassware and silver and gold candlesticks. South Yorkshire Police are investigating the theft, which occurred when three vehicles were broken into at a truck park in Mexborough while a unit was filming nearby.
“We can confirm that the antiques have been stolen and we hope that they will be found and returned safe and sound,” a Netflix spokesperson told the publication. “Replacements will be sought, filming is not expected to stop.”

Fortunately, production continues. Although no official release date has been announced, the new lead, Imelda Staunton, has confirmed in a video the month in which the long-awaited season will arrive.
