The measure, triggered when there is a threat to public order, safety or well -being of the population, occurs after San Paolo has reached 124,038 infections, an average of 270 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Another 82,900 cases are investigating. To get an idea of the advancement of the disease in the state, compared to yesterday, the jump was 5% in the number of cases.
“What we are seeing is a curve towards the top, which is worrying for all of us,” said the secretary of the Health Eleuss Paiva.
The north -western region is the most affected, in particular Araçatuba and São José Do Rio Preto, where the incidence exceeds 2,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, more than six times the epidemic index (300 cases per 100,000). In addition to these regions, six others also face the epidemic: São João da Boa Vista, Araraquara, Ribeirão Preto, Marília, prudent president and Barretos.
The number of confirmed deaths reaches 113, while another 233 are being reviewed. According to the State Health Department, one in four people who developed the serious form of the disease has not resisted.
What changes with the decree?
The intention is to give greater agility to the decision in relation to the disease, both in the hiring of professionals, awareness campaigns, purchase of inputs and greater attention network.
According to the secretary, the state intends to pass 228 million, focused on the assembly of guest structures, the purchase of inputs and hydration. In addition, the intention is to increase 20%of hospitals beds.
