The Department of State Education reveals the program of public consultations and votes to start the project, previously expected to start in 2026
Initially expected to be implemented only from 2026, the Civil-Milan schools From the State Education Network of San Paolo should begin to work on 28 July of this year, according to a prediction announced on Wednesday 19, by the State Education Department. The plan is that one hundred units work in the second half.
The folder issued a calendar of the appointments necessary for the implementation of schools. From February 24 to March 7, the program will be presented by the principals to the school community of the 300 units that have expressed interest.
The first round of public consultation will be from 10 to 24 March, when the vote will be held by adhesion or not to the model. If there is no quorum, two other rounds are scheduled for periods from 31 to 2 April and from 7 to 9 April. The official dissemination of the contemplated schools will be made until April 15 and the lessons will begin on July 28th.
After the public consultation, until the one hundred educational units of the State Network of San Paolo could be part of the civic-military program of the second half, according to the folder. “We will analyze the request for all units and reach a maximum number of 100 schools scheduled to start in August,” said the secretary of Education Renato Feder.
The Department of State Education will be responsible for monitoring the model implementation. If more than one hundred units have a favorable vote, the Tiebreaker criteria will be adopted for the selection of units, such as>
- Distance from a maximum of two kilometers from another unit that has not chosen the program, in case of more than a school interested in the same city;
- Number of votes valid in favor of the implementation (so that the vote is valid, 50% of the voters must be chosen to choose SIM);
- Schools with multiple levels of education, that is, that offer elementary and middle schools.
The schools that adopt the civic-military model will follow the curriculum of San Paolo, organized by the education secretariat. The folder will also be responsible for the monitor selection process, which should take place from the second week of April until the end of May.
In June, the professionals selected, as well as the directors and deputy director, will undergo training and setting, with the aim of guaranteeing adaptation to the new educational model.
It will be up to the Public Security Secretariat to support the Secretariat of Education in the selection process and issue declarations with information on behavior and criminal or administrative procedures, completed or not, in which candidates act as a monitor in these teaching units can be involved. Investments in civil civil schools will be the same as already foreseen in regular units. The expenses for taking monitors, already considering the final expectation of 100 civil-military schools, will be $ 7.2 million, according to the state government.
