A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Wednesday, July 27, 2022 [SPOILERS]

Accused by her sister of being involved in her mother’s death, Camille counters that she is not a monster. Kevin tries to defuse the situation. Emma takes to her heels and walks away…

The next day Baptiste wakes up with Justin. He discovers 12 missed calls from Kevin on his cell phone. The latter goes to Justin to talk to him. She informs him of Alice Ruiz’s death, insisting that he go and talk to Emma. Justine encourages Baptiste to do so.

So the Baptist understands his wife, but the latter allows her anger to explode against him. He throws her away again, stating that she is fine and doesn’t need him.

Baptiste arrives late for a meeting organized at the RCCI cell. There is no investigation into the burning incident. However, another outbreak of fire has been announced in the region. This time Baptiste and Justine are required in the field.

Meanwhile, Ariane visits Jacob in prison. The latter was placed in solitary confinement after spreading false rumors about him to the inmates. From the gate, Ariane informs Jacob that he will be taken to the police station the next day to be questioned with Camille about the death of Alice Ruiz…

Silvia tries her best to make amends with Romain: she irons his jeans, cooks him breakfast… but nothing works. He then goes to her office to apologize again and bury the hatchet. Romain admits that he doesn’t blame her because he knows he would have made a mistake when he returned to Paris.

To change his mind, Emily and Sylvia take Romain to an outdoor dance bar. Although he is not very comfortable, he is dragged to the dance floor by a lady.

He then observes a young woman dancing alone on the floor. Approaching him, Romain involuntarily raises his leg. He complains of ankle pain. So he goes to the bar to get some ice, then checks it out. They introduce each other: the young woman’s name is Vanessa. To make up for it, Romain goes to get her a drink at a bar. In his absence, Vanessa receives a message that seems to annoy her. He hurriedly leaves the scene, leaving behind one shoe…

Patrick and Jean-Paul meet at Marci’s, all dressed up for a photo shoot with their babies. Sylvia, who overheard their conversation, recalls the shoot she took and gives them some advice. It specifically points out to Patrick that he has dark circles and redness. As for Jean-Paul, she suggests he change his shirt so he doesn’t sweat too much in the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Patrick and Jean-Paul go to Estelle for a facial. Jean-Paul also changes his shirt into a T-shirt and jacket. They are ready, they go to Prun. Patrick then claims that he needs to change Raphael to create a diversion. Prune accompanies him to the bathroom. Jean-Paul takes the opportunity to look through his belongings. In her bag, she finds an envelope containing around €10,000 in cash, as well as an identity card in the name of Marie Riboulet. Takes a picture of everything before putting everything back in place.

Prune starts shooting with Patrick, who agrees to drop his shirt. Jean-Paul is a little more cautious. But Prune always knows what to say to them to please them.

Back at Nebut’s apartment, Patrick and Jean-Paul are feeding the babies. Patrick takes photos from their shoot and gives them to Leah and Babette.
