Value will be applied in the next four years to strengthen local production
THE Netflix announced an investment of $ 1 billion in the audiovisual sector of Mexico in the next four years. The information was revealed by the Co-CEO of the platform, Ted Sarandosduring a press conference alongside the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum.
The initiative aims to strengthen local audiovisual production, create new opportunities for industry professionals and consolidate Netflix’s presence as one of the main drivers of entertainment in the country.
“It’s great to be back in Mexico City. Every time I’ve come here, I am impressed by the mix between the old and the new – between history and modern culture,” said Sarandos.
This explains why there has always been so much creativity in Mexico – from art and gastronomy to literature, architecture and, of course, the narrative.
Netflix’s relationship with Mexico
Since its debut in the country in 2011a Netflix It has become a key piece for the Mexican industry, producing series and films that have achieved great popularity nationally and internationally.
