We have put the difference between the characters’ personalities here and the links between them. I think the actor is particularly successful in this direction. All actors have individuals who are quite different and we have managed to create characters that are distinguished that are not ordinary, which we do not see in every sauce. Everything is discussed, it looks like a bouquet of pirates! (Laughs) We are the small guards of the Southwest Galaxy!
How was your collaboration with your partners in the “high season”?
It was wonderful. We all went well when because of bad weather there was not always an obvious shot: the rain had continuous months, every day! It was a slightly unnecessary system (laughs) it was not a bowl, but it did not destroy our minds.
I already knew Lily Nambinizo. On the other hand, I didn’t know Paul Scarfoglio, who is really an actor as a good screen as behind the scenes. He put a pretty unusual atmosphere! Fortunately he was there.
As for Jean-François Kayer, I have seen this in different projects and every time I said to myself: ‘I really want to meet this guy to tighten it and tell him how good I find it!‘ Finally, I saw Joséphine draffic in one or two chances and ends on Netflix. In my opinion, he is one of the best actors of his generation!
Despite the capricious weather, this shoot on the Basque coast is well?
We took a high season in the low season and in October, in Biarritz, there are not many people. But the population was very kind and welcome, in all brilliant landscapes. In addition, we had two or three rather rock’n’roll sequence!
We got a lot of angry in the icy sea. There was a day when it was complicated because I was staying in ice water for a long time, with my clothes and in the rain. It was the wind, it was cold … I was stuck in the water for two hours. It was at the beginning of the film, besides, so I don’t have to get sick. (Laughs)
Does the “high season” telephone continue?
We hope we are quite confident. The channel likes the project, production is on the initial blocks, the authors have already written the rest … everyone believes as iron! If the viewer is there and the viewers are happy, we will start. I don’t know if it would become a collection or a series. Either way, we are ready!
Lastly, about “household scenes”, are you going to stay in the M6 series for a long time?
I feel the privileged after the start of a similar series. I don’t want to stop at all, because it’s really a good chance. I work with my best friend, I paid to make a fool with the people I love … it’s almost a collo!
We are very snubes in France, especially in this environment. They could take me from above because it’s a popular program, but on the contrary, it is what I say and I am proud of. (…)
