On Monday, the United Nations rejected a United States attempt to soften the position of the General Assembly on the Russian war in Ukraine, giving Kiev a diplomatic victory and his European allies, while President Donald Trump tries to mediate a peace agreement.
With 193 members, the General Assembly voted for drafts of competing resolutions – one from Washington and a curated by Ukraine and European states – to celebrate the third anniversary of the Russian invasion to its neighbor.
