Cinemaayo Edebiri will be a screenwriter and can star in Barney’s live-action movie

THE Mattel Films and the A24 advance in the production of the movie live-action Barneywhich will have AYO EDEBIRI as a screenwriter and possibly as a protagonist. The project has been under development since 2019 and has the production of Daniel Kaluuya through your company 59% Productions.

The feature will be supervised by Kevin McKeon and Andrew scannell to the Mattelwith Robbie Brenner in executive production. The CEO of Mattel, Ynon Kreizalso commented on production in an interview with Semaforstating that the film will have an approach “Fun, engaging and culturally relevant”but reinforcing that “It won’t be a strange movie”.
