Sylvester Stallone will play the Samaritan, a retired superhero in the new Amazon Prime Video movie, which just won an official trailer.
The trailer shows Sylvester Stallone’s character Samaritan living in hiding as a garbage man, having left his superhero past behind. But everything changes when his identity is discovered by a boy, with whom he befriends.

Watch the movie description: “In ‘Samaritan’, 13-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton) suspects that his mysterious and lonely neighbor Mr. Smith (Stallone) is actually a hidden legend in plain sight. Twenty-five years ago, super-powered vigilante Samaritan of Granite City was presumed dead after a warehouse brawl with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe the Samaritan died in the fire, but some in town, like Sam, hope he is still alive. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam decides to convince his neighbor to come out to save the city from ruin.
The film is produced by Stallone with Braden Aftergood and executive producers are Bragi F. Shut, David Kern, Adam Rosenberg and Guy Riedel. “Samaritan” is directed by Julius Avery and Bragi F. Schut is writing the script. The cast includes Stallone, Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco and Moises Arias.
