We know how Disney’s latest releases go: collecting iconic heroes to wrap them in serial narratives that sometimes intersect, but always know the character that leads them. And among his winning cards, we count (of course) the ‘Loki’ series. With a first season coming to an end in July, fans have had a good few months waiting for any updates on Season 2 (all we know, here), until we have finally started to receive new information.
The latest news, according to TheWrap: the actor Owen Wilsonwho plays TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius in the series, has confirmed that next season is about to start production. It happened during one of the WIRED videos in which celebrities autocomplete the most searched questions about themselves in the Google search engine. There, Wilson received the question “Will Owen Wilson Return to ‘Loki’?” The actor was hesitant to respond at first, but eventually said: “Yeah, he’s going back to ‘Loki.’ And I think we’re going to start shooting pretty soon. I had a great time working on ‘Loki’. I really enjoyed being with Tom Hiddleston and the whole team.”
These statements in turn confirm the return of Wilson to the series, which was put on hold at the end of the first season, but could not do without one of his most beloved characters. Not much is known about this upcoming season yet., although we do not risk much if we say that things look bad: the last time we saw Loki, his double Sylvie had betrayed him, destroying a timeline in his path (it is said soon). The timeline has changed, so He and Mobius never became friends… It will be interesting to see where the series takes their relationship heading into a second season.
It remains to be seen, too, what will have changed in this new timeline that Loki has been caught up in, and how other relationships with such beloved characters as Mobius and Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha Raw) are distorted from their first season characteristics. Mbatha-Raw recently confirmed that he would be returning for a second season.though we don’t know where he escaped to at the end of the first.
Because, and that brings us back to that intricate card game that is Marvel seriality: although the Loki of Tom Hiddleston was already a popular character, even before the series, the great success of the program has been due to a good lineup of secondary. Among them, there is (and of course) Wilson’s Mobius. Ready for a new season with our family of eccentrics?
