Do you miss the crown? This true story of marriage is made for you in the background of the royal family!

Thanks to the series The Crown, the British royal family has no secrets to us. Of course, in France, we also know the news of Rocher de Monaco, where Prince Albert II reigns. Here and there, the press sometimes mentions the names of Philip, King of Belgian, Monarch of Spain Felipe VI or even Japanese Emperor Naruhito.

But it has to be allowed, the name Harald V is quite small in our generalist newspapers. On January 17, 1991, on the throne of Norwegia, of course, one of the longest reigns, of course, behind Liechtenstein’s Prince-Suuverin Hans-Adam II and King Charles XVI of Sweden.

Norwegian William and Kate Middleton?

The details of the reign and the personal life of Harald V are therefore unknown to the general public. Fortunately, a historical series called The Commoner Traces for us one of the main chapters of its existence: his marriage with the usual Sonja Haraldsen.

This union, which mentions Prince William and Kate Middleton, took place on August 29, 1968, and the couple welcomed two children, including the current crown of the Kingdom of Norway, Hacon Magnus.

Since this family has been able to show their very united connections, especially when Harald V’s health problems have forced his son and his wife to provide the kingdom several times.

The crown is not a crossword puzzle but …

The Commoner series returns to the first meeting between Harald and Sonja in the late 1950s. Then the two lovers began to fight for a sovereign agreement.

After the tension of the decade, King Olav V had no other choice, whether or not his son’s marriage, though preferred to marry the latter on Princess Sophie (who would become Queen of Spain after marriage to King Juan Carlos I).

Commoner has only four episodes. Although it is not connected to the crown, fans of the Netflix series will be able to have Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in the first episode of the program. Of course, this is not located on Claire Foy and Matthew Smith, their performers in the first seasons of the crown!

The mini series that Commoner can now see exclusively on the premiere video.
